CORDOVA, Tenn. (FOX13) -Myca Holloway of Cordova has personally filed a $20 million civil lawsuit in federal court against Shelby County Schools after her two daughters were assaulted on a county school bus on April 28.
Holloway said just wanted answers from the school district on what happened that day on the bus, the police for dealing with fights, and more importantly the chance to review the video when two students beat up her daughters.
She says she didn't get all the answers she wanted and has decided to take her fight to U.S. District Court in Downtown Memphis.

"They have not taken it seriously," she said. "Seems like they have turned a blind eye."
Two teenage boys beat her two daughters leaving both girls seriously injured. The Holloways say the nurse at a hospital notified police, not the school district or school transportation officials.
"I have gotten any answers from them so I felt the need to take matters into my own hands right now," Holloway said.
The $20 million civil lawsuit names the school district, the school board, the sheriff's department, and Memphis Police as defendants.
Holloway alleges the two boys who attacked her children were known bullies at Cordova High School, but the administration did nothing to intervene. She claims the Durham Bus Company did not contact authorities and claims the bus driver did not stop the vehicle while the assaults took place.
